"Accustomed To The Light"

Most of  my life seems without fright but my life is better seen when held to the light.

I was never shaken by bumps in the night, but I'm seen the best when held to the light.

As a child all so innocent and with life so bright, I saw the best when held to the light.

There were those to me always strong, always right but were best seen when held to the light.

Life's been painful, a hard hill in climb, with so much not right, but seen best when held to the light.

I've been stuck in a mud with pressure so deep and tight, but I saw best when held to the light.

My greatest fear was to die alone in the night but fear is gone when held to the light

Once as a child life turned wrong and I  lost my sight but I saw the best when held to the light.

It has seemed I've walked way too often in the night, but I'm seen the best when held to the light.

Life to me appeared much too often I've wronged not right, but life is seen best when held to the light.

I have had death stare straight in my eyes with all its might but death is seen best when held to the light.

When I was young and life so slow; I saw the future a race to win,  a time to fight, but now I'm standing in the light.

The nights came and they went away as a new day did ignite, that I'm not old, just becoming accustomed to the  light.

Psalms 4:6  There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Psalms 36:9  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Life is not by chance so don't take any chances at missing any part of yours.  I have learned that there is good in every minute but sometimes I need your love to see it.  I have learned that yesterday is the good old days and we are living them each moment.  I have learned that you can't convince folks to like you that don't even like themselves.  I have learned that in this life you'll never be perfect but there are some that consider you very special.  I have learned that in this life we'll never find perfection because all we have to judge it by are our standards.  I have learned that on the darkest stormy day, the sun is still shining above the clouds.  I have learned that perfection does shine it's light on all and all of the time but our eyes have not grown accustomed to light, so all we can do is squint. I have learned that one day we'll have new eyes and they'll see only perfection.  May God Really bless You!  keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance, you pray for me..
