"A Lifetime Is Not Too Long"
When spent with ones you love a lifetime is not too long, and we learn the meaning of forgiveness, whether they be right or they be wrong.
To form the music sweeter in every life are highs and lows, and what happens next only heaven knows.
Has it been ten years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
I am a dad and you a mom, and it seems just last night we returned from the prom.
Has it been twenty years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
Is that our children all grown and shining, it seems only yesterday they were whining.
Has it been thirty years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
Is that our grandchildren so pretty and full of life, wasn't it only yesterday you became my wife?
Has it been forty years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
Once there were four toothbrushes and now only two, and I'm so glad this life I've spent with you.
Has it been fifty years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
We've lived a lifetime together but a lifetime is not too long, when the highs and lows become a song.
It seems we just met, but we each are our dearest friend, and we've lived each day as though it could never end.
Has it been sixty years, can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
Now there is one toothbrush where once there were two, and I'm so glad for the life shared with you.
Can it be so our life has flown, and where did that time go?
Though now your gone, it seems only yesterday we were wed, and to see your face my heart does long but I must carry on, I must be strong, For I remember a lifetime is not too long.
