"A Matter Of Time"

Today is the gift from God, to be a blessing though with sorrow;

to experience each moment now, with no wait for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the blessing, we will by faith receive;

as we with excitement await, our burdens He will relieve.

Yesterday is a treasure, already come and gone;

From which we've gleaned a wealth of knowledge, to help us carry on.

Whether today or tomorrow, a gift from God most sublime;

cherish each moment as God's gift, for yesterday is just a matter of time.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 ... To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 ... A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 ... A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 ... A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 ... A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 ... A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 ... A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 ... A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

While I was talking with a friend the other day; he asked advice for a situation in their church.  It seems quite a lot had happened over the years in the way of division and trouble and some of the older members felt obligated to recall them again and again to remembrance.  They would back bite and squabble over the smallest issue.  He was a little put back when I advised the best way to handle this was to out live them.  I admit it sounds as though they might die soon but that was not the object of this discussion but life was.  God's word advises that we can overcome evil with good.  When they live the life that hurts others; we can react in love, with the strength that only our Lord can share.  In this fashion we will out live them.  We may actually with a Christ like spirit, help them to leave and forgive a bitter past.  In one church that I pastored, a fine Christian woman was sending bad notes to all of the deacons wives.  Some came to me in tears.  It seemed this had gone on for quite some time.  I had discovered who had been doing this strange service but rather than go to this person I mentioned from the pulpit that something like this was happening and should cease.  The lady and her husband approached me with the question of just what did I think I could do about it If the servant was discovered.  I did not inform them that they could be removed from our church but instead spent a few nights in prayer.  I then was allowed to lead the church with placing "I caught you being a good friend", "I love you" and so many more good news messages.  This had to be done in secret.  This lady received so many of these encouraging messages that she ceased all of the other hurting messages.  We out lived her and now she is out living herself.  God is now living stronger in me and I know He lives stronger in this Christian lady.  Keep on the sunny side.  Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.  May God Really Bless You!
