"Brand New Creature"

Some might today describe me as a little shoddy, or at least when it comes to my body.

By the cover you can learn a little about the book but to know the story you must take a closer look.

To know the reason I walk the way I do; you must know a little of the storms that I've been through.

Before my time began; I've learned that God was my biggest fan and though I'm just a common man; I've been given life's perfect plan.

I try each day to live by one steadfast rule and that is to know that God is ever my teacher and this world is His school.

This old house might to some be a bit shoddy but you just wait until you see my final body.

God does His prettiest work with the old and weathered wood and does it like no other ever could.

Inside this old house I have a brand new feature and it is; that I'm a brand new creature.

Galatians 6: 15 .. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 .. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. 17 .. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. 18 .. Brethern, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

I had my little dog in the front yard and we began to be playful on a extra pretty day. I threw the ball and she excitedly ran and in her joy tried to jump on the porch to bring it back. Well, she hit the porch square in the middle of her belly. She backed up and looked at that porch like someone had raised it. She for a moment had forgotten her arthritis and the fact that she was twelve with quite a few too many extra pounds. Well of course I went and petted her and threw the ball a little shorter this time. An old farmer in Kentucky laughed as he told of a man from the city that bought an old barn from him and gave an unbelievable price. The old barn needed replacing and he got enough to build a much nicer barn. The man from the city wanted the old weathered look for his new home. There is no other way to get this look but to last through life's storms and time. I have pastor friends in their 70's and some have inquired why they keep serving like they do. Their answer is because they can and in my opinion have really started learning how. Sure in the morning you might begin with denture cream, support hose, a grunt and groan but remember that you haven't made it even this far on your own. I wonder sometimes what I really would look like without God to brush me off and slick me down. I might need extra support for my back but I know God is my backbone. I loved my little dog even more after I saw her try very hard and fail. I remember all the times she could jump for me and I love her more now because I know she really misses being able to do that for her master. Don't you miss an opportunity to jump for your master and you and He will also have such a loving bond. I have learned more of when I am weak He is strong. God works with us all of our life and when the floor begins to sag; He shows what a load we can hold by His power. Keep on the sunny side. May God Really Bless You !. Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
