"The Cup Of Time"
Today with oft peace of mind in daydreams at night I find, a life more real and the years more kind.
It was long ago today, that I drank from the cup of time, with each sip different yet sublime.
With each sip an adventure in this life filled with grace, what wind next will I face?
It was long ago today I faced life this way, to drink life's cup more fully, and not merely turn to gray.
My life I'll not just face, but await now each moment with God's grace, knowing my life is not mine to give, and knowing today alone, is more than I can live.
Today I'll drink again from the cup of time, and drink more slowly, whether up or down I climb.

David knew what it was to be tempted, to fail, to let down others and God, and for others to let him down.. He knew days that seemed quite hopeless and days that seemed mostly dark.. Yet when we read the bible we learn of the bad times as well as the good, because this was the life he lived in his service to God.. There are so many bad things in our lives.. Some we have done or some others have done to us.. The truth is, we may never forget those things, but we must forgive ourselves and others, and move on to life's next moment, or else bitterness will form more each day in our life until the joy and light of life itself is choked out.. As hard as times might seem right now, these are probably tomorrow's good old days.. Music with only one note would be a noise, yet with many diferent notes up and down; we have a song.. This is the way it is with each life.. The good times, the bad times, the mountain tops, the valleys, the highs and the lows, make your life.. Drink each sip of life with care.. Greet each one you meet as an opportunity rare, because your paths may never cross again.. Live life as though you might not have tomorrow to live.. The truth is you may not, as no one knows for sure.. Today give that pretty smile, that hand shake, that prayer and let those around you know how much you care.. It will come back to you..
