We are Not Just Howell County Baptist Association but we are a special group of folks known as Howell Area Southern Baptist Association of twenty four churches in Howell, Oregon, Ozark and Shannon Counties. Our name changed in 1981 as we dropped the word county as we became an area association. Howell Area Baptist Association: HBA 2008 VBS Reports 39 SALVATIONS!!!!! I learned today that I am for sure happy to carry the label as a theologically conservative Southern Baptist. Labels are a very important part of our life. It is so sad that many ladies feel it is degrading to be labeled as wife, mother or a homemaker. It is impossible to live in this world without a label of some kind. So whether you like labels or not you have a label. Some may call you intelligent or some may call you a nut but you are labeled. I am a Christian, a believer, born again, saved, forgiven, American and happy even in trouble, which works out pretty good for me. We were first labeled at Antioch when they called us little Christs. The family needs the roles and labels of mothers and dads. Getting pregnant is common to mankind but it takes the grace of God to be a mother and a daddy. Some folks get fighting mad about a college football team that they have never set foot in that college. They simply want to belong with a group. Some will become glare eyed while speaking of their loyalty to a political affiliation of democrat or republican. I am a theologically conservative Southern Baptist and I will pray both before and after I vote, which by the way may not be politically correct. What is your label lost or believer? Guard your vote well and vote the same. It cost our Lord Jesus Christ his life that we may have a choice. It has cost many lives of great Americans as well that you might have freedom. If you love this country be an American, not German or African American but American. If you love God be a believer and consider all you do as to how it will effect your relationship with your personal Savior. God is good all the time. Bro Bob Wood DOM
We challenge and pray for each one of you to win one soul this year
I have been allowed to visit in our churches in many types of services and as usual had the privilege of preaching often.
Thanks for helping Regina and I to never feel like visitors or guests, but part of your family.
