"I am A Child"

I am the past, the present, the future and I am a child.
My mother is young, my mother is old, and I live in a world that seems to have grown cold.
I've been given too little and I've been given too much.
To be touched is good, and to be touched is bad.
I am so happy and I am so sad.
I cry too much, I don't cry at all and I am so well fed, yet of hunger I die and fall.
I know much comfort, yet in pain I moan, and I know so many, yet am so alone.
I am the future, the present and the past.
I will endure and I will not last.
I live in the most modern world, yet lack the most basic of need.
I am a child and I am confused.
I am that ahead of all known to man, and I need love and a guiding hand.
If you care about yourself, you will care about me.
So teach me of God and His perfect plan, for without this, I will never understand.
