"It's Where You're Going To"
While sitting just the other day pondering my life so much gone wrong, down came a little Bluebird and sang to me this song.
She sang of birds that always flew with the wind but the poor little things never knew just where they had been.
She knew a fish that swam always with the currents of life but became very weak from never knowing strife.
My friend you look quite sad; could it be that much you see as bad, that you should see as glad?
It's not what you're going through but where you're going to.
For the same gift that helps in one direction today, will strengthen you for the other as you face the other way.
Many times the wind my life quite hard has blown but I know I'll make it home where love has always grown.
I've rested here with you and thank you for your smile and I'll fly away home with strength for the final mile.
She flew away while singing into the air; it's not what you're going through but where you're going to that makes life most fair.

Psalms 84:1.. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! ..2.. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. ..3.. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God ..4.. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah ..5.. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them ..6.. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools ..7.. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God ..8.. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah ..9.. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed ..10.. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness ..11.. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly ..12.. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
I am blessed to be able to work with Pastors. I love Pastors. While I was a pastor some years ago we had a church that felt it was a deacon run institution. For the first few Sundays as regular as a pretty good clock, one would come to my door to tell me that I couldn't preach on that particular subject because there were those in our church that had been involved in this and they would be offended. I went with the Lord's leading and touched on abortion, suicide, homosexuality, the family and more and sure enough the knock came regularly or the phone rang. I finally became frustrated and one Sunday morning I asked for a show of hands for all that had committed adultery. For once I did not here from the objection committee. The one main thing I learned is a Deacon run church or a pastor run church will go only as far as man can go but a Christ loved and led church can go beyond limits and farther. That church had gone through eleven pastors in ten years. We learned that just because some folks are and always have been honory, we do not have to be. We can be happy even though they are not or do not want us to be happy. This helped me love and work with people today that sometimes seem quite unlovely. We learned that all people did not nor would like the preaching of God's word. We learned that there would always be some that just would not like us. We also learned that we did not have to like all of them but God has given us the power to love them. We also learned that many of the hard times we've been through were to prepare us for a bigger wind ahead. Today when you are troubled, stop for a moment to rest in prayer and praise to God. Today let's thank God for giving us power and for growing us in the way that he chooses. May God Really Bless You! Keep Shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
