"Little Boy Yesterday"

Once upon a time long ago not so far away, lived a little boy who loved to run and play.

He could be a cowboy on the side of right yet still a little afraid of the night.

The good guy was the hero and would always save the day, as this was the only real way.

He could discover new countries in which he ruled as king and there was no need in his life as he had most everything.

He always had love even if he had to imagine it so and sometimes this was the only love this little boy did know.

No one told him he could accomplish much but little boys don't really need to hear this such.

One day he became a man and discovered a very lonely land.

He felt that he could never again be that great king and the music left so he felt he couldn't sing.

Many loved him but his eyes just wouldn't see, for he couldn't be what he thought he should be.

He gave his love seldom before received but this was Ok, for he had learned not to be grieved.

He would love his children and his wife and when his tale was told, this would be his life.

He once again could be on the side of right, though still at times a little afraid of the night.

He would accomplish much and do it all, because of his Master's touch.

Since his life did first begin, God sent his angels to this little boy a special friend.

He was watched and cared for, this one child who never knew love and received the Master's touch with love from close above.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 .. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: .. 2 .. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; .. 3 .. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; ..4 .. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;.. 5 .. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; .. 6 .. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; .. 7 .. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; .. 8 .. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. .. 9 .. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? ..10 .. I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. .. 11 .. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

This one thing I do know is that people need love everyday.. God may give you the right opportunity to effect a life for good by one simple act of kindness or a smile or just a few words that you might pass along.. You may also be a deciding factor in the worth a child feels and may carry for the rest of their life.. In the 10th grade I won a national writing contest in the FFA.. My Agriculture teacher was so overwhelmed that he rushed up to my English class, in which I was sitting and announced to my teacher and the class what I had received.. I remember to this day the exact words that the English teacher said.. She said, "This does not mean you are a writer." That was the end of it.. I know today that she was so right but it discouraged me greatly for years.. I still am not a writer but I have a burning passion to write.. I do remember that she was a great teacher but I also remember my Ag teacher was also a great person, that bubbled with love for me.. I remember many great classmates that I really admired but most I remember those that came to me in a new school and wanted to be my friend.. I have had people tell me in these much later years that they admired me as a child.. I have had extended family tell me lately that they have always loved me and considered me as their own.. I often felt they did not like me as a child.. I am glad to know this now but I wonder what a difference it would have made, had I known this then.. There are a lot of lonely people out there today.. Don't join them but become their friend.. Life is short.. Sometimes our success in life can be measured in how we have influenced the life of another.. May God Really Bless You!. Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
