"Love Came Softly"
There once was a time so easily I knew,
that no one ever loved me as you.
It was not by chance this young romance,
as time embraced in dreams we chased.
A love that defies all reason,
knows little of age nor makes a season.
Love needs no answer as to wonder why,
than we know the brightness of a starry sky.
It is more than deep that two are drawn in love,
graceful as a dove yet forever woven from above.
But time moves on and life comes due,
then we are parted and away we grew.
We become the memory we've both been through,
then as a breeze our lives so quickly flew.
Love came softly as a summer wind,
and shared by two as God did lend.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2.A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3.A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4.A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5.A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6.A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;7.A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8.A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
I have learned today is not to be saved. It is to be used and gleaned for every blessing that God has decided to lend. God is love and love therefore is eternal but these moments in love will come quickly and even more quickly go. I have learned that in this life, there is not a moment to be bored. We are not to worry over what we want nor what we've been through but be continually amazed with the good God sends each day. That friend, sweetheart, wife, husband, parent, child, grand old or new, are the eyes and joys of God we are looking through. Share them today because tomorrow is just too late.
