"Mission Dedication Service"
You may use this for your own use and I hope it is a help and a blessing to you. This is not for resale or to be included in any resale manner.
Have the mission Volunteers to be seated at the front during this service.
Have copies of the program prepared and in the hands of all that are there.
Opening Service: by Mission group leader ( this can explain what the main concern of the mission trip is to accomplish.)
Song: One that is going on this mission could do this special music.
Dedication Service: Pastor
Matthew 28: 16-20 ... 16 ... Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 ... And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 ... And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying. All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth. 19 ... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 ... Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
A brief sermon here can follow and then to the dedication service.
Have all to rise in honor of Jesus Christ.
To the following if it is your intention to support these volunteers, you may answer ... WE DO
To the Church: .. Do you send these volunteers with your love? .. WE DO.
To the Church: .. Do you promise to pray for them everyday? .. WE DO.
To the Volunteers: .. Do you promise to conduct yourselves in a manner that will always bring honor and glory to our Savior Jesus Christ? .. WE DO.
To the Volunteers:..Do you promise to seek God's guidance in all you do?..WE DO.
To the Volunteers: .. Do you promise to dedicate yourselves completely to God, to carry out this mission that you are being sent to serve? .. WE DO.
To the Volunteers: .. Do you promise to promote good relations and to the best you can, to get along with your fellow volunteer missionaries? .. WE DO.
To the Church: .. Do you send these volunteer missionaries with your complete support and blessings? .. WE DO.
Close by asking God's Blessing Prayer: .. A deacon or another can be placed here. It will also be announced at this time that the missionaries will be at the doorway, if you would like to give a personal comment or words of blessings.
In the bulletin it is always nice to include the names of those going so others may pray for them each day. Bud Abbot, Lou Costello, Red Skelton, Don Knotts, Tim Conway, Olliver Hardy, Stanley Laurel.......
