"Old Man All Alone"

In a restaurant on a gray cold day, was an old man with wrinkled face and hair dry and gray.

He sat alone and eat quite slow, while watching others, as they would come and go.

He watched it all through slitted eyes grown dim, in great detail of all round about him.

A child strolls by quite slow, and plugs his mind of days long ago.

A man in work clothes walks by, and he recalls his work and why.

He sees a lady young that resembles his late wife, and with reflecting chew does recall, how quickly was their life.

Another bite to mind returns the day they two were wed and with quiet stare recalls sweet words she had said.

For many years they two were one and she still is in his head.

The next time you pass an old man all alone, give a smile and say hello, to he this way has grown, for the next time you look it will be you instead.

Ecclesiastes 10:9-10

(9) Rejoice, o young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgement. (10) therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

Youth can be a wonderful time of life..If we could know of loneliness and uncertain times ahead, we surely would spend more times with the ones we love, and the simple pleasures of life..We surely would take better care of ourselves and the ones we love so dearly..The thought of youth is such vanity..We believe we will be forever young but youth lasts for only a day..It is OK to walk in the joys of your heart, if your heart belongs to Christ..Today let's start anew to dwell less on worldly sorrow and enjoy God's life and gifts to the fullest..We can put God first in all we do, and decide if it does not glorify God, then we will not take part..Love God, your children, your husband, your wife and remember, you are not meant to be a spectator of life but to participate..Have a great day, and May God Really Bless You!
