"So You Have Diabetes"

You may have or may know someone that has diabetes. You may have had this disease for sometime or you may have just been diagnosed with diabetes. Whatever the case, you need to be informed with ways that you may be able to treat, help and live with this diabetes. Below you will find some of these helps.

The Bible speaks volumes to us in the fact that we will have pain. There will be death, broken hearts, and all manner of sickness.. Many times our lives will be totally changed and yes they will be a hindrance and an aggravation. Job 30: 18 ... By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.

Our health is most certainly a gift from God. I can remember the days of jumping fences, climbing trees and feeling so good almost all of the time. I have also seen good people drawn closer and the more often to call on God in prayer, when they had difficulty and sickness. I most certainly include myself in this group. In our time of suffering we can find even these times to be a blessing if we keep our faith in and our eyes on God..

2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 ... And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in distresses, for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

No where does this say we are so happy to have cancer, aids, diabetes or any other terrible sickness or disease. Paul says that he will rather glory. He means he believes he has a choice. He can react to this most bitterly or he can look for the good in a most terrible situation. He does make another standard: it must be that you know Christ, and in this weakness, you must recognize that the devil considers you an enemy. Therefore especially while you are suffering you can and should learn more and more on Jesus Christ and thereby allowing Christ to become much more visible in your life. While recognizing just how fragile we are, we can at the same time see how wonderfully strong our Savior Jesus Christ is.
