"Teach My Eyes To See"

I've seen so much in this world that seems so cold; It's strange the better I see as I grow old.

Today I saw a tear in a little child's eye and today I saw a smile from an old man, as he passed by.

Today I saw an old lady sitting on the porch and waving to the traffic as we traveled on, and I saw an old man in a restaurant, eating all alone.

Today I watched parents as their children said I do and today cold and gray, I saw a family as they stood by a grave and I saw a lady as she lay dying, and no one knew.

Today I saw a mother as she hung her head to cry and today I saw Grandparents as they held to each other and waved to their family goodbye.

Today I saw a sparkle in a young girl's eye pale blue and the hug of a little boy, as he tried to hug his dad in two.

Teach my eyes to see Lord, not just today but everyday and not just on the surface, but all the way through.

Matthew 20: 30 .. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.. 31 .. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.. 32 .. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? 33 .. They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34 .. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

What a beautiful joy to be able to experience God by seeing His creation. Often though, we are so busy watching life that we forget to see it. To experience life is to experience God. We really never see a broken heart until we have had one. The old saying says, "We do not miss the well until the well goes dry," has much truth. Sure, we went to the well each day but never had we thirsted for it until it was gone. God with compassion gives us the ability to see with more than surface eyesight. When we experience God we are more able to see past the circumstances and more to see the person. This is God's love. He sees past the sin and loves the sinner. He sees past the sin because He will not look on the sin. God knows who the real you should be and can be. I thank God for having that sight. When these men received their sight the first thing they saw were the eyes of Jesus Christ. They saw the world too in a way they had never seen before, because they had never seen. I ask God today to give us this same sight and help us to see more as He sees, which is a way that we have never seen before.. May God Really Bless You! Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
