" The Last Grain Of Sand"
There moves an old old clock with time flying past with neither tick nor tock.
If my
life were an hour glass and each day a grain of sand; the speed of life would
still be hard to understand.
Will
the next grain merely slide or add joy to another on the other side?
We
are on top today but we should spend each moment as the last to slip away.
I
have found my life most powerful in this race, the more I yield to God's grace.
Some
days the grains see the brightness of day but others dark and gray.
Will
I make good use of the time today or simply let another slip away?
The
closer to the bottom I become; the more I can see where I've been, where I've
come from.
If
I could simply turn my life over again to rebuild another pile of sand; I would
view each grain as more grand.
So
help me Lord today to understand and to work more with You to the last grain of
sand.
2 Corinthians 12:9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me... 10 ... Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Some days hang on forever while some slip quickly away. Hard times seem each day a month long while times of joy are swiftly gone. I have found while I am serving our Lord time goes so fast. Other times of waiting rooms and hospitals seem so very slow. I have found since we can't possibly know how each day will turn; I can search for and find joy, if but the simplest in each day. Today thank God for sharing His life with you. Look for Him in others that come your way. I have found that this life is much too short to be consumed with bitterness and sorrow. I know that sorrow will come again and again. I know that the little old devil will put me to the firey test but I also know it is still Christ that regulates the flame. May God Really Bless You! Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
