"Was That You"

Was that you just yesterday, as you were seeing the world brand new?

Was that you that seemed so excited, in about all that you could do?

Was that your little girl so tiny, so fragile, so giggly and free?

Was that your little boy dreaming of all that he would one day be?

Was that really you by my side, as we trembling together, said I do?

Was that really us we two, running so swiftly this life through?

How did it happen so very quickly, with all that we've been through?

I just turned around and the day was through; it is today that I've so needed you.

Yesterday where did you fly; I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Tell me life; was that you?

James 4:14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Today as we watch and try to understand all that the world can do, let's try to help each other remember; that we are just here for a very short time.  We cannot fix each and every situation.  We must take each day, one day at a time.  I regret that I never really learned how to be a good parent but I do not regret at all being Jon and Rita's dad.    There have been many hurts in our lives as family, parents, husband and wife but oh the joy we knew!  Today experience life.  Touch, taste, weep, laugh and know you are a part of God's creation.  Smell the earth, hold a hand, say hello and smile in a big way.  Don't wait until tomorrow. May God Really Bless You! Keep shining and be as good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
