"When The New Day Comes"
Some see the night a time most dark and bleak,
and many find it at times quite hard to sleep.
There are those that have lost a love, which lingers each night.
They await for a new day, to grace them with light.
A song begins to play and once again reopens the wound.
How quickly they came but left so soon.
It was just yesterday you walked down our hall.
But I now have only this picture on the wall.
When the new day comes through, I'll have no more waiting left to do.
There will be no more broken heart this pain, for we'll walk hand in hand again.
Rest now in peace to restful sleep, with this promise given for sure to keep.
The new day comes.
Written by Bob Wood
1. I Will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2. O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3. O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4. Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Some think it very strange to call out to a loved one that has been gone for a long while. They called to share something funny only to remember they are not here but gone. They sit at the evening meal but the laughter is gone. Some become so angry to think they are left here and all alone. Why would you leave and not take me along? Why God have you dealt me this life so wrong? You were our life a song and now only the melody I have to carry on. Thank God for this melody. Thank Him for the song. You have lost a love but experienced love most strong. Keep your eyes on heaven and God above and though you will never get over this one now gone on; Your heart will be filled with God's strength and His love to carry on. Keep Shining and be a good as you can be and when you have a chance; you pray for me.
